Personalized solutions for hoisting equipment

The competition in the field of hoisting equipment is becoming increasingly fierce, and the challenges are endless. Sch TZ Kranbauunternehmen GIS has completed a special order of H.A.Schlatter company by virtue of its professional crane manufacturing technology capability. Double beam bridge lifting equipment can make full use of very low ceiling height, providing a new solution for enterprises to ensure inventory management, spare parts and after-sales service.
GIS is a Swiss company with about 100 employees. It is a professional manufacturer in the field of lifting technology. "We mainly manufacture electric hoists and export all over the world. We need to distinguish between light lifting equipment below 1600kg and mobile lifting equipment, namely, the manufacture of the lower wing heavy lift equipment, and its lifting capacity is about 5T. In 2007, we made 12300 electric hoists in all, 1700 of which were delivered in Switzerland, and the other lifting appliances exported to all continents around the world, accounting for about 85%. In 2008, about 15500 electric hoists were planned. The company's sales and marketing director, Mr. Eduard Leiva, explained the strategy of the company when she visited SMM's newly installed lifting equipment at Schlieren.
R & D and production are made in Switzerland.
The whole research and development work was done until the manufacturing, installation and sale were completed at the Sch TZ company base in Oberwiggertal city.
The current generation of cranes was launched in 2005. There are 6 types of cranes. The lifting speed is very comprehensive and the load range is from 40-5000kg. The new generation of cranes is designed by the company's R & D department and has been delivered to mass production.
GIS electric hoists are now called lifting equipment equipped with modern technology. The company provides unequipped complete lifting equipment and components to agents and partners, and designs their own equipment configuration by themselves. This delivery strategy ensures that products can be sold from the warehouse, and that the provision of spare parts and after-sales services is guaranteed. The company in Switzerland mainly provides complete sets of equipment, which are specially designed, assembled and delivered according to the requirements of customers.
In the order, special requirements for GIS have been put forward. Rolf Kappelhofer, deputy director of H.A.Schlatter parts assembly and prototype, explained this: "the manufacturing and assembly process has been transferred from the old factory to here. The special thing is that the workshop is very low (only about 5m), so a special structure hoisting equipment is needed. The three lifting tracks are respectively about 8m long, so we have made corresponding arrangements. "
If it is necessary to hoist 3~4m long parts and ensure successful hoisting, the corresponding dimensions of lifting equipment are designed: lifting and moving 4T heavy loads can now be lifted.
Another challenge for GIS is the need for a lifting device in the component assembly and prototyping workshop to lift some very heavy molds, components (transformers) or thousands of kilograms of heavy machine parts. Sometimes the components transported in narrow space weigh 4T (Figure 1).

Although GIS can carry out mass production, the demand for the lower flange rail and the upper flange rail is not increasing in the range of standard products in lifting equipment manufacturing. So the company decided to strengthen service in this field by personalized processing. In 2007 alone, the company made 150 such special lifting appliances. This is a special challenge. R & D departments always provide solutions for customers according to the special circumstances. Due to the low height of the building, it requires design or manufacture related to this design. At the same time, due to the short delivery time, H.A. Schlatter gave the order to GIS company.
The special plan of H.A.Schlatter company is a double girder bridge lifting equipment. The top traveling mechanism is located on the two beams hanging above (Fig. 2), instead of hanging on a beam as usual, so that the lower overall structural height can be achieved. The electric hoist is located in the middle position (Fig. 3) so that it can be placed in the high position with the lifting hook. In this way, the lifting height of 600mm is achieved. If the total lifting length is calculated as 2845mm, this can be achieved.

Implementation and completion
The field Department began to take over the project and measure the environment, and then the design department made relevant plans according to the requirements. Within 8 weeks, the equipment is delivered after the completion of the internal test, and is installed by a professional assembly company (R? Hner). According to the law, the equipment will be maintained by professional staff of GIS company throughout the operation period.
It is worth mentioning that there are two Swiss Corporation cooperation. The two companies sell Swiss products internationally. Their delivery time is short and their technical support to customers is fast, just like this time in H.A.Schlatter company.
Special advantages of electric hoist
For GIS products, the overall control performance of the product is better; according to their experience, wear is also smaller, these are obvious advantages of electric hoist. "So we specialize in this technology and are very strong in this field," concluded Mr. Eduard Leiva. "This is a strategy for survival in the fierce competition in this field, because no company in the current society can be complacent."
